The following resources are provided to help users explore, understand, and apply the data available in TxWRAP. Resources include user manuals, a statewide data package, layer symbology, and guidance on using map layers from the recent TxWRAP update. Additional tools are in development and will be added here as they become available.
User Manuals
A step-by-step guide on how to use the Risk Explorer is provided.
Data Crosswalk
The latest update to the Texas Wildfire Risk Assessment was completed in 2024 to reflect landscape changes and incorporate enhancements in wildfire hazard modeling. As part of that effort, many new datasets were added to the TxWRAP Risk Explorer. A Data Crosswalk guide provides users with a quick reference to identify which new map layer to use in place of the previous version.
State Data Package
A statewide data package can be downloaded from the link below. Each package includes the complete set of datasets available in the TxWRAP Advanced Viewer, along with an ArcPro project file with associated symbology. This package offers convenient access to the full set of raster datasets available through the Project Area Export tool in the Advanced Viewer. Please be advised, the zip file is 16.6 GB due to the high-resolution mapping used in the Texas Wildfire Risk Assessment.
Layer Symbology
Layer symbology is included in the ArcPro project file provided with the state download package. Alternatively, users can download symbology for individual layers from the links below. These are .lyrx files designed for ArcPro; data paths will need to be updated to display correctly.
